Renti Rewards is New Zealand's first loyalty and benefits programme for renters. It lets you earn points on your rent and bond payments, access included contents and job cover insurance, and pay rent by card, all managed through the Renti app. The more you use the programme, the more you get back from your biggest monthly expense.
Not yet. Renti Rewards is currently available to renters moving into properties managed by property managers who use Renti for viewings and applications. We're working to expand access to more renters across New Zealand soon.

Yes. The Renti app is available on both iOS and Android. You manage your membership, track your points, pay rent, and access your insurance benefits all in one place.
Yes. Renti Rewards charges a 2.49% fee on rent and bond payments processed through the programme. This fee funds your rewards, insurance cover, and member benefits. An engaged member can get back up to twice the value of the fee across card points, Renti Rewards points, merchant rewards, and insurance benefits. You can check your own number before joining using the calculator on our website.
You can join Renti Rewards when you move into a property managed by a property manager using Renti for viewings and applications. If your property manager uses Renti, you'll be invited to join during the onboarding process.
Yes. You can stop paying your rent through Renti Rewards at any time. Your accumulated points remain in your account until they expire (three years from the date they were earned).
Your rewards move with you. If you move to a new property that is also managed through Renti, your membership and points carry over automatically. If you have any questions about your account when you move, contact our support team at support@renti.co or call 0800 468 230.
You earn 2 Renti Rewards points per dollar on rent and bond payments. You can earn up to 4 points per dollar when you spend with our partner merchants. If you pay with an eligible Airpoints or Hotpoints credit card, you also earn those card points at the same time, giving you two reward streams from one payment.

No. You can redeem your points as soon as you earn them. There is no minimum threshold or waiting period.
Yes. One of the biggest advantages of Renti Rewards is the ability to double dip: earning Renti Rewards points and your credit card's loyalty points (such as Air New Zealand Airpoints or ANZ Hotpoints) at the same time, on the same payment. You earn whichever card points your card is enrolled in, on top of your Renti Rewards points. Use our calculator to see exactly what you could earn.
You can redeem your Renti Rewards points in two ways: as cashback on purchases with our programme partners, or by buying gift cards from more than 40 participating retailers. Redemption is managed through the Renti app.
Yes. Points expire three years after the date they were earned. You'll be able to see each point balance and its expiry date in the Renti app.
Yes. Bond payments processed through Renti Rewards earn the same rate as rent: 2 points per dollar.

Simply update your card details in the Renti app. Your membership and points balance are not affected by a card change.
Yes. You can update or change your linked card at any time in the Renti app under your payment settings.
The insurance policies included with Renti Rewards are underwritten by Zurich and Chubb, two of the world's leading insurance providers.
No, the insurance is included as a core part of your Renti Rewards membership. While you are an active member paying rent through the programme, you're covered.
Your included contents insurance covers your personal belongings inside your rental home against loss or damage caused by events such as fire, theft, storm, and water damage. This includes furniture, electronics, clothing, and other personal property you own.
Your contents insurance covers personal belongings against a range of events including fire, theft, storm damage, and certain water damage events. It generally does not cover: motor vehicles, cash or cryptocurrency, items lost outside the home without a specific extension, or damage caused by gradual deterioration or wear and tear.

No. Your Renti Rewards contents insurance covers your own personal belongings. Flatmates are not automatically covered under your policy. If your flatmates want contents cover, they would need their own policy.
There is nothing extra you need to do. Your contents insurance activates automatically when you join Renti Rewards and make your first rent payment through the programme. No forms, no separate sign-up.

Your contents insurance is tied to active membership and rent payments through Renti Rewards. If a payment is missed, your cover may be affected. Renti Rewards includes job cover that provides a monthly benefit to help cover your rent if you lose your job through no fault of your own, for example redundancy or employer-initiated dismissal. The benefit is paid directly to help you meet your rent obligations while you find new work.
To be eligible for job cover, you generally need to be in paid employment at the time you join the programme and have been continuously employed for a minimum period. Casual, self-employed, and contract workers may have different eligibility criteria.
Job cover pays a benefit for a set period after you lose your job, giving you time to find new employment without falling behind on rent.

We partner with a growing range of New Zealand merchants across categories like groceries, dining, retail, and lifestyle. The full list of participating merchants is available in the Renti app.
To earn bonus points with a partner merchant, simply pay using the same card linked to your Renti Rewards account. No vouchers, no codes: the points are applied automatically when you use your linked card.
Yes. We are continuously adding new merchant partners to the programme. Check the Renti app regularly to see the latest partners and any bonus point offers.
You can redeem your Renti Rewards points for gift cards from more than 40 retailers. The full list of gift card partners is available in the Renti app.
We collect the personal information needed to run your Renti Rewards membership, including your name, contact details, payment information, rental address, and transaction history. We share relevant data with our payment processing partners, insurance underwriters (Zurich and Chubb), and merchant partners where necessary to deliver the programme. No. Renti does not sell your personal data to third parties.
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct any inaccuracies, and in some circumstances request deletion of your data. To make a request, email us at support@renti.co with the subject line "Privacy Request" and we will respond within 20 working days.
When you close your Renti Rewards account, we will stop using your data for marketing and programme communications. Some information may be retained for legal, compliance, or financial record-keeping purposes as required under New Zealand law. You can request details of what is retained and why by emailing support@renti.co.
