Your cover explained
Q1: What is rent protection cover?
Rent protection cover has your back if you're made redundant — if your employer lets you go through no fault of your own, it steps in to cover your rent payments while you find your next role. It means one less thing to worry about during what can already be a stressful time, so you can focus on your job search without the pressure of rent hanging over you.
Q2: How much does it cover, and for how long?
If you're made redundant, we'll cover up to 4 weeks of rent — capped at $2,500 in total.
Q3: When am I covered?
You need to have been paying rent through Renti Rewards for at least 30 days before losing your job, and been in permanent employment for at least 6 consecutive months. For full terms and conditions please refer to the policy document.
Q4: What isn't covered?
You won't be covered if you resigned, retired, or took voluntary redundancy. Dismissal for misconduct or poor performance is also excluded. Casual, seasonal, temporary, and contract roles don't qualify. If you find new permanent work within 30 days of losing your job, you won't be covered. For full terms and conditions please refer to the policy document.
